Did You Know Peanut Butter Can Help You Live Longer?

November is Nat’l Peanut Butter Lover’s Month #peanutbutterlover and in honor of one of my favorite foods that not only helps keep you lean and trim, it also helps you not only live longer, but to live longer and live better — I give you two of my favorite recipes to accomplish that.

Wait… doesn’t peanut butter make you fat?!

Lol… peanut butter can’t make you fat anymore than guns kill people, okay? Eating too much peanut butter and the wrong kind — that’s what makes you fat.

And it can make you fat if you don’t make it right. And when you do make it right, the LongLive U way, just  1tablespoon of this stuff can reduce your mealtime hunger by 50%?

Did you know that the primary cause of the aging process on your body is mostly due to… inflammation? And that when you reduce the inflammation that is causing your body to breakdown — we mistakenly shrug our shoulders and just say, “I must be getting old.”

It doesn’t need to be that way and here’s a fun way to prevent that from happening…

See, people on diets — they get it all wrong because  it’s what you do after you’ve been on a diet (yes, even including the HCG Diet) than what you do during it.

Because if you go right back to eating they way you ate the slathered on all the fat and inches in the first place, then you’re going to pack on the rebound weight within the following 6 months. That is the real reason why so many do not make it to their 6 Month Milestone™.

That is, unless they were members of my HCG Diet Success Coaching Program.

This is one of the many tools to use to keep that from happening.

I haven’t bought peanut butter since I got a Vitamix and since I went on the the HCG Diet years ago and it got me smarter about my health and what I put into my body — I got into the habit of making my own “peanut butter.”

Now the reason I put quotes around it because there’s no peanuts in there — first it was almonds and now it’s sunflower seeds.

And, it just sounds better to say “peanut butter” than “almond butter” or “sunflower seed butter” or the more generic “nut butter.”  😉 Because, y’know… that last one can get you in trouble.

Now, I going to give you two recipes especially for those with peanut allergies:

Live Longer Now Almond Butter

  1. 3/4 pounds of almonds into the Vitamix (or whatever your food processor of choice happens to be)
  2. Added 3 tablespoons of macadamia nut oil
  3. Sprinkled a little regular Nu Naturals stevia (there is no other kind for plain stevia) to taste
  4. Added 7 drops of English Toffee stevia
  5. Added 7 more drops of Dark Chocolate stevia
  6. Grind into semi-paste liquid for 1 minute.

Now, think about it. What do I have in this custom-designed-in-minutes “peanut butter”? Only…

  • Almonds
  • some mac nut oil (both healthy and great for your body!)
  • stevia – 3 different flavors that work un-believeably well together. That’s it!

But then after learning I was allergic to almonds, and a ton of research on my mac nut oil is not as good as extra virgin coconut oil, this is my current basic go-to recipe:

Live Longer Now Sunflower Seed Butter

  1. 3/4 pounds of sunflower seeds (roasted, unsalted) into the Vitamix (or whatever your food processor of choice happens to be)
  2. Added 3 tablespoons of coconut oil
  3. Sprinkled a little of your favorite stevia to taste (remember, stevia a a great sweetener because it doesn’t spike your insulin levels)
  4. Added 7 drops of English Toffee stevia
  5. Added 7 more drops of Dark Chocolate stevia
  6. Grind into semi-paste liquid for 1 minute.

And then as I researched more, I realize I could turn this custom homemade “peanut butter” into a more complete food by adding two ingredients:

  • 1 scoop chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla protein powder (I use the allergen-free Protoclear protein powder)
    • You can also use any chocolate protein powder to vary the taste ( I use Orgain’s Organic Protein Plant-Based Powder, Creamy Chocolate Fudge)

Live Longer, Smarter: Why I Prove Everything I Say About …

Anything, really. Because there’s nothing like proving something to yourself. Oh yeah… hey, you know I’m all about the proof. Of anything.

I don’t ask you to believe me when you can easily prove it to yourself.

So next time you go to the store, I want you to keep that in mind while you grab a commercial brand of peanut butter or almond butter and yes, even sunflower seed butter.

Look at its list of ingredients.

How far down did you get before you couldn’t pronounce the 5 syllable ingredients? How far you get before you get before you needed a degree in biochemistry to pronounce, let alone understand some of them?

Now… I ask you, why in the world would you ever, ever buy theirs when you can make your own in 60 seconds?

Just sayin’…
